Fuses and Relays advice please

Post by Richard and Pat » Mon Sep 09, 2019 9:35 am

I am looking at the wiring now and need to obtain a fuse box and relay holder/ individual relays. Ideas and recommendations please?

I am planning FUSES for:
Horns [Pair]
Horn [Oojahh]
Lights Right
Lights Left
Indicators
Windscreen wipers
Windscreen washer pump
Ignition / starter?
Fuel Pump
Cigar lighter/ 12v supply
Aux supply
RELAYS for:
Starter
Horns 1
Horn 2
Lights L
Lights R
Brake lights

The two relays that come with the bike serve which function please?

Starter and horns on my current Guzzi, Richard, and on every Big Block I've ever owned.

AES do a whole range of fuse boxes and mini relays that will cover everything you will need.

Rule No.1
Don't put everything through one fuse!

And Vehicle Wiring Products offer a modular system of fuse and relay boards which can be used singly, in attached pairs or clip together into one lidded box which could neaten things up a bit.

I second the Moto Gadget unit. I installed one and am very happy with it.
