Evening all
I’m in the final stages of designing the loom, and I can’t find a route from tunnel to fuel pump and sender that feels right… I don’t think it’s acceptable to attach wires to fuel lines, as easy as that would be, and I don’t want to run them under the car or too ear the swing arm. Please can someone share a photo of how they took the wires from the tunnel to the pump or sender? There are several options but none of them feel right!
Many thanks
Alex

Re: Fuel pump / sender wiring
Where have you located the pump?
Does your loom have a rear termination point for plug/socket for lights?
Pic would help.

Hi Tony
Good point, a few pics on the way. Pump is the guzzi original in the bottom of the tank, and the sender goes in the top of the tank. I’m currently measuring up to make the loom (hence the orange rope!), and I’m planning to take the harness for the rear end down through the tunnel, slipping behind the drivers seat for the lights / 7 pin socket.
I’m not sure where to branch off the fuel pump and sender harness though - I don’t think it’s acceptable to attach wiring to the fuel hose to reach the pump, and I don’t want to get too close to the swing arm, so I was wondering how everyone else tidied up their rear ends!
I’m struggling to make the pictures small enough to upload on my phone, I can only get this one in so far!

Re: Fuel pump / sender wiring
I would run the main rear loom inside convoluted sleeving through the tunnel, plenty of fixings, then exit to the rear wheel area, then penetrate through to the socket on the inside.
You could then branch off to fuel pump and sender using expandable braided sleeving, inside and over the top.
Or, keep the branch outside with plenty of dedicated fixings.
AES have plenty of options. https://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/c/cable-sleeving

Re: Fuel pump / sender wiring
Pardon my ignorance, what is the black assembly just below the socket?
Re: Fuel pump / sender wiring
Thanks Tony - over the top could work.
The black box on the right is just a motorbike toolbox! Felt like a good place for a little extra storage
