Rear tyre for CARC rear with Guzzi rim

I have looked for a suitable car tyre for the Guzzi rim on a CARC rear. The only one I can find is: Bridgestone Potenza RE040
175/55 R17. Has anybody fitted one of these? Does it actually fit or do you need to fit a split rim?

By all accounts a split rim is the more economical solution in the long run. Keeping a Car tyre on a Bike rim can be tricky and the choice of tyre limited. With a split rim the tyre choice widens considerably and therefore more competition on price but importantly the rim is designed for a car tyre.
Guess who is saving for a split rim.
