High ratio or standard ratio steering rack?

Is anyone able to comment on the drivability of the high ratio v standard ratio steering rack? I'm used to the standard rack in my Type 2 and find it ok but need to decide what to go for in my Type 3.

I honestly think that if you can handle it with a high ratio rack, your tyre pressures will need to be far too high giving no grip in the wet.
Just sayin.

Hmmm - guess I had it backwards - I just discovered that a high ratio rack means that your steering is less sensitive, not more - makes sense when I think about it, which I obviously didn't before I posted the previous comment .
