I'm having a run around back roads of Huntingdonshire to bring in 2022.
Weather forecast looks good, no salt on the roads, all washed away.
Meet 10-30 at Applegreen Services, Spaldwick PE28 0TD.
Going north as far as Wansford/Stibbington Diner then back south to perhaps Alconbury Weston.
Let me know if you want to join me.
There may be puddles on the side of roads so I don't expect Edith to come back clean!
Tony

I’m hoping for a run out tomorrow, weather looked ok a few days ago but there could now be so showers which is a pity after all the rain we’ve had recently. It’s the Junction 24 New Year’s Day classic and vintage car run, it opens at 9am with a choice of two separate runs based on the vehicle you have and drives of at 11:30am. I shall be keeping an eye on the weather, a light shower isn’t a problem but consistent rain then I’ll give it a miss🥴

Happy new year to you all

I hung around at the filling station till 10-30 then left to continue my fantastic new years day ride.
It was superb, no traffic and I only saw 2 bikes.
5 horses which were an absolute treat, perfectly groomed as were there riders. (Oh the memories).
Mostly single track roads with plenty of puddles and sunshine, oh the sheer pleasure of unspoilt Huntingdonshire.
I have lots of gopro footage, when I can get round to editing.
Shame you missed it but hey, I'll be doing it again.
Happy new year everyone

Hunts a bit far for me so went for a spirited 3/4 hour thrash out to The Black Swan at Fradley Junction (Staffordshire) with my Son providing ballast. The car is much more stable with 2 adults for balance. Lots of bikes and people sat outside and a generally good time was had by all.

We had a little rain early in the morning but stopped enabling me to join the meet at Junction 24 (M5) a little blast around the countryside afterwards was just what I needed to start 2022. I had the camera ready charged to record the event but sadly left it at home☹️ Anyway it was good to be out😀

It looked a good run Tony, my Triking is currently SORN whilst I argue with VOSA/DVLA about whether or not it needs an MOT after the first year. With hindsight the MOT renewal date would be better in the spring/summer than the middle of winter..!
