The early T2 uprights/Caliper mounting ears were not known for their accuracy in relation to being parallel to the Disc so worth checking as its not uncommon to have to use shims between the Caliper and mounting Ears . If not parallel,the pads will have a long way to move and not be using the full width of the Pad . You may also be getting “pad knock back “ if mounts are out .
When bleeding with the older fixed bias bar it is usual to have to remove the Rose joint/shackle from one of the Master cylinders and bleed the fronts x2 and the rear independently of the Bias bar and pedal box due to the restricted movement of the pistons in the Master cylinders with both connected .
