New tyres all fitted and wheels back on. Great to have the Triking back on the road for this spectacular weather!!
Whilst re-fitting the back wheel I noticed that the rear brake pads are only connecting to part of the disc. There is no adjustment on the caliper holding plate to correct this. Any ideas?
Thanks
Andy
Rear brake disc
Re: Rear brake disc
Only concern might be if there is a section of brake pad material not touching the disc. This would not wear down and so create a step in the friction material on both sides.
I welded the holes up in my brake-pkate and made new ones further in so all of my pads sweeps the disc.

Re: Rear brake disc
Judging the space between Outer rim of the disc and the bridge of the caliper(I estimate it is 1 inch) the caliper is mounted to low on the mounting plate.
Therefore the brake pads did not touch the disc on the outer rim.
I would move the mounting holes to the correct distance so the pads fit correctly on the disc.
