Hi, Oleg - hope everything worked out OK !
How is your bonnet held down, front and back? I don't see any bolts, and I'm always looking for other peoples solutions.

Yes thanks. All OK.
The bonnet is fixed by M6 set screws, one each side which go through the upper main body flange into to captive nuts bonded into the bonnet edge plus a central spring with hook which is mounted on top of the gearbox. This fastens to a hook under the front of the bonnet.
I think fairly standard for Type 2's

Thanks for the info. on the bonnet - you must have sprayed the bolts white, since I couldn't see them in the photo.

Bolts fastening are from the inside of the car.

Thanks, Oleg - If I'd read your previous post more slowly I would have gathered that, although it seems that most people ( including me) have the bolts going in from the outside. Your method appeals to me.
