Michael - didn't you get this from Moto Motivo ? If so, not a very good ad for the quality of their kit-building.....

Pictures of the completed efforts.

1) The return hose now has the more proper downward slant to the front. The connections at the engine for the oil pressure gauge and warning light are also tidy.

2) The new riser and stabilizer for the original breather/condenser tank.

3) The tank now has a slight downward angle to the front as well - lifting the vent port a bit higher than the return port to better encourage proper draining through the return hose.

4) The plumbing for the new "secondary" oil catch can is up higher and has no "low spots". I zip-tied the new catch can's vent-to-atmosphere line to the feed line from the orignal tank for more stability. They both follow the same gentle rise back to the new catch can slightly above the original tank.

5) The new "secondary" oil catch can is securely mounted to the body tab at the scuttle. I fabricated a metal "mount plate" from an old motorcycle license plate. It forms a distorted 'U' from the catch-can's mounting plate, under the body tab, and up the back of the body tab. The top bolts go the the catch-can's mount, across and through both the body tab and the fabricated plate. The fabricated plate acts as a spring-washer against the nuts and washers on the back-side. The catch-can also has a drain hose with a petcock valve for draining that I routed to under the car where I can slide a drain pan if/when necessary. It is routed such that it does not interfere with anything in the tunnel as well.

6) The newly installed mechanical oil pressure gauge and voltmeter. They are close enough in appearance to the other gauges that I am happy.

7) I routed the vent line from the new catch-can to the right front so that if it does ever spit oil, it will go under the car and not be in the path of the rear tire.

I got out to the garage for a short while - enough to verify everything and fire it up for static testing.

All seems to check out well. The voltmeter shows the expected voltages at key-on, start, revved, lights on, etc. It increases as revved, drops a little when at idle, drops a little when lights are turned on, etc.
I am happy it will let me monitor the charging system.

The new oil pressure gauge is also working as expected. It went to about 65 - 70 psi at cold start. As the engine warmed up, it would start dropping some at idle and go back up to that same range when revved. There did not appear to be any leaks either.

I probably did not run it enough for a preliminary test of the breather/condenser and catch-can mods. However, there did not appear to be issues. The new catch-can's dip-stick remained dry.

It is already getting too hot for a mid-week, mid-day test drive at 90*+F at 10:30 a.m. I will try to get it cleaned up and the bonnet back on for a test drive this weekend.
