Repairing a Triking
Repairing a Triking
Hello, my name is Olivier, and my dad's got a Triking that has been sitting in the garage for about 14 à 15 years. It's the Moto Guzzi model. And all the chrome on the exhausts has rusted, the wood on the back is teared and there are major problems with the electrical system. Are there things to look out for while repairing it?
edit: the car is in this condition because of an accident. My dad hasn't repaired it yet because he tought that is was to dangerous for me when i was small.
Thanks for reading (sorry for my poor english, i'm belgian).

Re: Repairing a Triking
Welcome to the forum Olivier, great to hear you are renovating your Dad's Triking.
It would help is you could attach a couple of picture on here, front and side would be good, to help us identify the model. May be tricky if it's in pieces in your garage but anything would help.
If you are struggling to attach pictures, email them to me and I will attach for you (atdwew at gmail dot com, replacing at with @ and dot with .)
The chassis number will also help to trace history.
Good luck
Tony

Hi Olivier,
Welcome, is your car on the Triking register? If it is it will tell us quite a bit and help us to help you. Chassis number from the frame will be a start.
Good luck
Richard

I think we're on the online map but our location is wrong.
Re: Repairing a Triking
The only point we have on the Triking World map in Belgium is No. 35. Is that your chassis number?

Position is always approximate for security reasons, but please email me your location and I will correct the point.

It never fails to amaze me at what is tucked away in people’s garages, just when you think there can’t be anything else to find another just pops up, simply amazing!

Re: Repairing a Triking
Wonderful stuff and a great starting point. You can also find us on Facebook: Triking Owners Club and I would like to put pictures in the next 'Trifles' newsletter along with your request if you don't mind please? I'll send a PM Olivier.
Re: Repairing a Triking
Sure, Richard and Pat. Maybe a small anecdote could be that all my friends used to play in a kind off small plastic car. But my dad put me in the Trike instead . https://www.dropbox.com/s/x9ogtbmq7i4zl ... .jpeg?dl=0
