Tacho cable

Post by JFerg » Mon Feb 10, 2020 4:21 am

Before I race off and get a custom cable made, does anyone have any clue as to the donor vehicle for the tacho cable of an early Type 1? The inner is 1570mm long when it's in one piece.

There is a somewhat unfortunate bend in the tacho cable where it leaves the engine and loops into the valley; has anyone converted to a right angle drive and straighter cable?

Mine is removed and in a cardboard box in the shed. I’ll take a look later. I believe my one would be the original Guzzi 850 LM 2 but I’ll check.

Hi,

The std Guzzi cable is way too short for a Triking, All Triking tacho cables are purpose made, The latest version has a re-enforcement around the weak area where they are prone to wear . http://shop.trikingsportscars.co.uk/pro ... ble-thing/
