Flat ring spanner came out of Richards tool kit (was it returned?), cable ties from a n other, superb engineering by Bob.
Over the years, that green car does seem to have been victim to the odd breakdown.

In my experience, temporary bodges like that have a tendency to be less temporary than expected.
