I have just got home after a few problems on route on my homeward journey.
What went wrong was that there was a non existent showing from the Triking Family, the trikes that booked in were a Blackjack. a Lomax a Pembleton and a Crozier 3. There was no entry from the UK driving a Triking albeit the event was in the main Triking trikes.
Yes it was a long way but if you make the effort you''ll reap the rewards. There are no doubt many reasons why you did not attend !!!!
For those of you who will consider the 2020 event it will be in Holland and should be a good event run by enthusiasts

Greetings Cousin Bill from up north
It really was a shame that only you and Tom represented UK at the 2019 Dreirad Treffen.
It’s a great achievement to travel probably 1500 miles each way in home built cars, yours having had major surgery this year. You must have been some of the furthest travelled.
Would have been about 650 each way for me, which may seem a mere trifle. I’m confident my Triking has the ability to tackle such runs but regret I may not anymore.
Time away from home (and loved ones) was a major consideration as I would not be able to take Carol with me. Cost would also have been a bit of a strain on my modest pension income. (Deciding factor for the 2018 meet).
I copied the original link from Pembleton Enthusiasts forum, follow up of the event organisation was never made public and was not possible to see if there would be 10 or 100 cars there.
My only attendance at a Dreirad Treffen was the 23rd at Inverary in 2015. A superb meet, thanks to yourself and Tom, well attended by Trikings from everywhere. If other meets have kept up the standard then I have missed a lot of fun.
I have enjoyed several day trips of 4-500 miles to the Yorkshire Dales & North York Moors in both my Trikings and Pembleton, organised by the Citroen Specials Club and Pembleton owners. Great fellowship and memories of personal achievement.
One run I recall, organised by ‘sambike’ had just 3 participants. Superb run!
Reports of previous D T meets seem to have been a bit thin on the ground.
We’ll keep an eye out for the 2020 meet details.
Tony

There should be several of us from the UK in 2020, I for one have booked the hotel for the meet already. There is the small matter of getting my new Triking built in time but since the May meet is my deadline it should all work out!

I'm going to book to the Harwich to Hook of Holland ferry for this meet, probably going out on evening crossing on Thursday Sept 3rd Sept but not sure when to head back. Are there any other Trikingistas planning to use the same crossing as it would be nice to go out in convoy?
