How about this for a club gathering next year? Weekend or one day?

Worth thinking about, although Myra says it will use up all my brownie points as her birthday on the 15th! 😉

Sounds fun, more participation than Prescott perhaps, depending on queues. But no bends, less risks, except to engine——!

Could be an interesting day out, not sure the Triking gearbox is ideally suited for fast changing on a standing quarter mile run  :o

I know what you mean but the Runs are an extra cost anyway so we could have a gathering. I can bring a Gazebo.

What interest do we have in the collective for this event please? Please get in touch on my email or telephone. All numbers in the March Trifles. I have another plan if no interest in this.

Taken from web site:
Club Displays / Club Camping

Have your very own kit car club stand at KitFest - there’s no better way to experience all that KitFest has to offer than having an allocated club area in the heart of the show! Club camping on grass is also available for those wishing to make a weekend of it!

If your kit car club would like to attend, please download the Club Booking Form.

The deadline for KitFest 2019 club booking submissions is 5pm on 04/06/19.
You will have an allocated club area within KitFest for your members. You will receive car club vehicle passes to access your club stand.
Full Terms and Conditions can be found on the booking form and no disputes will be entered into.

Tickets are PER PERSON: Friday early bird £5
Saturday £12
Sunday £20
Week-end £30
Track running weather permitting £25 Saturday + £25 Sunday

We could operate some options e.g. Kitfest on Sunday only. Meet locally on Saturday and get B&B or camping, have a takeaway or BBQ at a property locally [still to gain approval i.e I haven't asked owner yet]

Let me know what you think ASAP please
Richard

I am guessing by the silence on this that its not a runner?

After careful consideration, the entry fee to the venue is a bit high, the track run is also high for a 20sec slot.
Queues for registration and run(s). Water, oil on track, waiting around------
Giving my car a thrashing on a drag strip and then expecting to drive home----Hmm----I can do that anywhere, result being monitored by the ETB gauge. As many times as I like.
Best bit would be the drive there and back, on beautiful country back roads. I can do that any fine day for the price of the petrol.
So, thanks but no thanks.

Thanks for the nudge Richard but not one for us.
