Hi folks,
Some of you may remember me - I'm not yet a Triking owner but have plans to change that situation. I attended the brilliant event in Yorkshire and had a great time (thanks to Paul for letting me occupy the navigator spot) so have booked up for the 2020 event in Buxton. Hotel rather than tent this time!
Happy Xmas to all.
Andy

Great news Andy,
Don't forget your camera as we are having a push in 2020 taking pictures of Trikings in action.
See you there
Richard

Hi chaps, Have just booked the hotel for the 2020 .As usual we are probably the last ones. Currently away for the next couple of months and will look forward to Buxton. An area we have not been to yet.

..not quite the last Bob, I've just booked for the Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
We've had the Triking for nearly two years now but not yet met any of you or joined any runs as we seem to be a bit out of the way here, just north of Derby.

When the sun shines I often get the Ducati out into the Peaks to frequent the usual biking coffee stops..Monyash, Longnor, Hartington etc. Bakewell and Ashbourne are also great stop-offs for a bike but parking can be a problem there for 3/4 wheelers.

Looking forward to exploring the lanes together and meeting so many of you in May.

Look forward to meeting up Andy.
Seems you and Guy have a lot of knowledge about the exciting area we will be exploring in May.
Cheers
Tony

I'm not sure my Type 3 will be on the road in time for this meet so I'm considering buying a "stand-in" Pembleton so I have something with 3 wheels to run around in for a bit. Does anyone mind if I attend the meet in that, I'll go at the back of course and park it out of sight...

As organiser, I don’t have any objections, particularly as you are a Triking owner. There’s already one Guzzi powered JZR joining us, I think we will need to have two group photos, One of The a Trikings plus one of the Trikings plus the copies of replicas of fakes!
Regards. Guy

I’m back in Blighty and intend to concentrate on the Buxton meet-up for a while. I will publish routes, and destination for morning and afternoon runs on the Wednesday and Thursday. I do not intend these to be long drives (60 -90 mins with a tea stop), as most people will have driven a long way to get to Buxton in the first place. Buxton is a interesting town with some lovely classical architecture. The most famous being; The Pump Room, The Crescent, The Dome and the Opera house. They are all well within walking distance of the hotel but is would be an uphill walk on the way back,

If it rains we can chose to go on a drive or maybe visit the Poole Caverns, these are cold dark and wet so not much difference than being a a Triking I suppose!

One destination is likely to be Woodthorpe hall where Andy Clay’s relatives live.

If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Regards

Guy.

Our Caribbean cruise was cancelled just hours before flying off to Barbados 😕. Just wondering about this years meet, many of us are over 70 and although I’ve not got a problem with travelling the UK, I’m not sure about others of similar age?
