For what it's worth, I've kept my reservation at the hotel for the 2020 UK meeting and have updated the dates to the new 2010 meeting. No cancellation fee. I'm now a lot happier!

Hi Guy
Correct decision I'm afraid. I have just had to cancel our NNCVC St George's Day run in April. Normally we get around 400 vehicles if all types here in Norfolk doing the run. We will look forward to visiting Buxton next year. Hope everyone stays safe during these testing times.

I've moved the event to next year on the 25th, 26th May 2021 with an optional extra Day on the 27th.

If the above dates are not convenient for anybody, there is the option of using your booking for another date of your choice or allowing somebody else to use the deposit for their booking. The hotel's reservation policy does not allow for the return of deposits but feel to discuss the matter with them if you disagree!

I'm enclosing an email from the Lee Wood Hotel.

Hi Mr Greaves,

Following our telephone conversation, I can confirm I have relocated your group booking to the 25th May 2021. As discussed, all deposits have been moved over and if you need to change the dates again then please just let us know.

We hope you all stay safe and we look forward to welcoming you to the hotel next year now.

Many Thanks

Jenny Race

Hi Guy
I have confirmed the 2021 dates with the hotel. Makes a change for me to be an early booker!! Currently under "house arrest" here in Norfolk to avoid both sons getting on my case. Looking forward to next year. Everybody stay safe and keep away from crowds.

Oh Dear : Annual meet-up.

Post by SIG 4643 » Wed Feb 10, 2021 2:39 pm

Oh Dear, It is not looking good for holding the annual meet-up in May 2020 due to the covid situation, so I’ve decided to postpone the event for another year. I’ve emailed the Hotel, which is currently closed, for a slot sometime in June 2021. I will keep everybody posted when I have a reply from them.
I’ve done this with a heavy heart as I doubt that anybody else was looking forward to the event as much as myself.
If the covid situation improves, we can always have an unofficial meet-up later this year.

I don't mean to come across as pedantic but just checking you mean postponing from May 2021 to June 2022? I think it's the right decision as we're still not out of the woods with Covid though as many of us are "mature" gentlefolk we should have been vaccinated by then.
