Triking will be 50 in 2028

Post by Richard and Pat » Sun Aug 16, 2026 7:40 pm

Trikingistas,
A just supposing situation:

What would be the interest in a celebration of the Triking brand in spring early summer [May June] of 2028? How many would be interested?

I am proposing it be held in Norfolk over a couple or three days with runs, visits and a celebration dinner.

Pat and I are booked into a test site in September.

Just supposing we had four runs organised by four different people to cover the two main days?
Maybe another afternoon of Triking games?

An organiser of visits in case of inclement weather? Does anyone know a classic bus owner?

Entertainment:
I think I know where I can find a magician [Guy].
If anyone else would like to organise a Triking quiz?
Triking spares in a bag?
Spot the Triking part picture quiz?
More ideas welcome as are Volunteers please.

No dates, no prices as yet, just supposing.

Hi Richard,
I like the idea of a big meeting for the 50th anniversary in 2028, May-June is a good period.

Twelve shows of interest so far inc one from Holland.

Thank you to the volunteers so far.
Three of the four runs are covered now. Thanks to Bob, Dave and Jeremy. One more and we are done.
A Triking quiz is being set by Guy Simpson
Ian has the start of a badge [all dependant on numbers and costing].

Would someone like to organise Clothing options? We used a member's son, Greg at Loopy Parrot, for the caps we did recently. https://www.loopyparrot.co.uk/

Can anyone contact Guy Greaves as we need a magician between the two musical turns organised by Bob and Anne and Dave's wife [Thank you].

Hi Richard and Pat,

Sounds like a great idea! May-July should work best for us.

How many, if any would be interested in camping on or near the site?

On that subject I was thinking this could be a good potential location if people are not expecting 5 star luxury. It also has an entertainment space and camping etc and is adjacent to the Norfolk coast..

We know the people who run it so it might be possible for them to make special arrangements for us all.
