Rather belatedly I'd like to add Avril's and my thanks to Roger and Debs for all their hard work before and during the North Yorkshire gathering. We both had a super time, despite not ideal weather. However, my monogrammed dustbin liners kept our seats dry so it could have been a lot worse!
I hadn't actually been in this area for more than 40 years, since some work colleagues and I did the Lyke Wake (spelling?) walk. This trip was definitely a significant improvement! Interestingly the early warning radar then was in an enormous golf-ball shaped dome, rather then the electronically steered version that I saw through the mist this time.
I've attempted to put together a folder of my photographs which should be available via the following link:

I hope you enjoy them. Best wishes to everyone, and hope to see you again next year.

Re: TRIKINGS in Yorkshire 2019
Thanks so much, Richard, for your excellent write-up on the Yorkshire trip - definitely has a "Wuthering Heights" feel to it - moors, rain, old hotel, dubious characters etc.
I'm ecstatic to have finally won something - my previous best was Third Place, and, I can't remember for sure, but there may have only been 3 people in my age group.
I'm not sure whether you were serious about posting me something, but if you were, please don't as postage from there to here is so expensive. If it's some sort of diploma, just send or post a photo - if it's something else just send me an STL file and I'll print it out on my 3D printer

I never took woodwork in school, Richard ("not safe around sharp objects"), so it's pretty bad....
