Hi All,
Thanks for your comments, it looks like the body shops I've approached so far are rather on the high side. Unfortunately I really don't have the knowledge or skill to do much of the preparation so I'll just have to look for someone who does want the work...

Join all your local facebook custom hot rod and motorcycle groups or clubs. Post your want or just lurk.Occasionally a freelancer or moonlighting pro will show off his work and make himself available.

Have you looked at vinyl wrap?

I looked at vinyl wrap, and decided that, never having done it before, it would be quite tricky at the rear of the Triking due to the angular nature of the tail-light and license plate areas. A professional may find it not particularly difficult. I think it would be considerably cheaper than painting.
