For the next phase of work I need the car higher up so want to put it on four axle stands.
Proposing to use the front chassis members just behind the exhaust and at the back use the two beams that run under the floor pan - are they strong enough or are there better points to use.
Thanks
Andy
Jacking points?
Re: Jacking points?
Nothing wrong with jacking/supporting the car on the rear cross rail.
Best use a piece of softwood on the jack or stand to minimise slipping and paint damage.
At the bare metal stage, I welded on a piece of 20x20 to the rear of the chassis to enable safe lifting without slipping using the farm high lift jack. (A few details on viewtopic.php?f=7&t=450&p=2805&hilit=build+stand#p2805' )
