Luggage Tie-Down

Post by Weg » Thu Jul 06, 2023 6:04 pm

Luggagee racks are only available to order and I didn't really want to clutter the new shiny boot with one.
Came up with this to tie down a couple of soft bags.

5mm rod bent into bottle opener shape then welded to m6 studding.
M6 nyloc nut wound on with nyloc downwards to locate in the V of the boot fixing bolt.
Front end of straps fixed to seat backrest adjuster tubes.

Offcut of upholstery foam used to protect paintwork.

Excellent design Tony - Luggage doubles as a hat under hard braking :D

Neat job Tony!
Puts the luggage weight in a very strong place.

Hmmm, I still think the paint work will get damaged, a luggage rack looks great on the back, I’m sure you would come up with something on par with the one Triking offers.
