Soft Top / Hood

Post by Oli4 » Sat Jun 24, 2023 12:12 pm

Greetings,

I have a soft top for my Triking Type 1, which I can't test at the moment. But since I'm planning on daily driving my Type 1, I was wondering how well it works.

(If there are multiple versions, mine has 2 metal loops which can turn around a vertical one put into a chrome piece. It also has the piece of vinyl to store it away.)

Could anyone please share me their experience with the soft top? If you have any advice I would be very grateful if you shared it.

Have a good weekend,
Olivier.

I've made 3 hoods on this princple.
Double hoops which hinge together and plug into a sockets bolted on the outside of the body.
Fastened and tensioned at the front with 3 overcentre clips.
The hoops split in the centre and it all folds down into 2 zipped bags to stow away behind the seats.
