I've been searching around for a neat solution to catching the oil mist from the crankcase breather that normally vents into the Guzzi air filter box. I came across this small aluminum catch tank on eBay at a very reasonable price.

I bought one and after relocating my horns further down the N/S bulkhead was able to fit it in quite well, adding to the "engineering on view" that is part of the appeal of the Triking for me! Here are a couple of photos of it in situ. It's not as close to the exhaust expansion box as it appears in the photo - tricky camera angle!

Looks very good and neat! cheap too!
Re: Oil Catch Tank
That's a rather neat solution - pretty much exactly what I've been looking for (I currently just dump overboard).

Re: Oil Catch Tank
Is this after the 'Can' in the centre of the V or in place catching the oil mist from the heads Dave?
Re: Oil Catch Tank
I did something similar using a custom breather can built by Alan to condense the oil mist and drain it back to the crankcase and then a small go cart catch can to trap any remaining oil that made it through the vent line. Using a sintered bronze breather to keep everything compact.
Re: Oil Catch Tank
It collects the oil mist from the 'Can' that sits between the cylinders Richard. Previously I'd run the outlet hose from the can down one of the small box section uprights on the front bulkhead but over time found it made things a bit oily underneath on the previous Triking. It will be interesting to see how much oil it collects over time, it has a built in dipstick so I can check it in situ..Richard and Pat wrote: ↑Thu Nov 24, 2022 10:55 amIs this after the 'Can' in the centre of the V or in place catching the oil mist from the heads Dave?

Thank you Dave. Yes after 15k miles the T2 was quite oily underneath. I'll have a go at this I think.
