Under-bonnet stowage

Post by Weg » Wed May 12, 2021 7:07 pm

Thought I'd share this as I like to have plenty of stowage space for spares and tool.
The area on the left is a simple L shape, rear edge resting on the chassis cross rail and fixed to the tunnel with one M6 screw (into a rivnut) near the front.

Lift out tray on the main box.
Fixed with 3 M6 screws, 2 at the rear tapped into the chassis cross rail, 1 at the front with a spacer underneath.
Triangle tunnel to clear the steering column.
Quick removal when needed for maintenance underneath.

More pictures to follow in Trifles.

Good idea Tony, is the flat sheet above the passenger foot well for the mug of tea when you're working on it? (I noticed the giveaway ring mark ;) )

It's all made from 1.2mm ally. Battery is below the l/h panel so gives easy access removing 1 screw.
Don't know what the ring marks are, could be hair spray.
