I have a question from Charles who asks how far back towards the dash can the pedal box be safely mounted in a Type 2/3 please? If you have achieved this can you post a picture please? Thanks

It all depends on how short the legs are.
If they are very short, you could put it directly under the dash.
Clutch cable would need to be longer, long rods on the master cyls, revised mount for the throttle cable.
Just needs a bit of sensible engineering

If it's a new build, do it before fitting the body. Much easier.
If existing, it can be done, watch the knuckles!
First step is to get the steering wheel and seating position comfortable.
Set the pedal box in the right position for owner/driver (other drivers will have to get their own Triking).
Clamp down temporarily with one bolt (rather than drilling lots then having to fill) to get the feel.
Clutch cable will need an 'extension' from existing position for the outer cable to provide a straight pull on the wire.
The brake pushrods can be extended with UNF (think it's 5/16") threaded rod and/or threaded tube.
Search embay for those, L/h and R/h available on there.
Throttle cable(s) will need same treatment as the clutch to give straight pull.
If there is no body in the way, a bracket can be welded to the chassis.
If body is existing, you could improvise with a secondary rod/lever mounted to existing position.
Exciting times eh?

Thanks for the suggestions. The purpose I am asking is to enquire whether someone my approximate size would have fitted the pedal box to his comfort. I have already fitted my pedal box some months ago but I wished that an owner who has modified his to confirm the right place . I have fitted mine as follows. The front of the pedal flange (towards the driver) that is bolted to the bottom of the chassis is 200mm away from the front bulkhead steel plate. Since I do not have the seats ready as yet I cannot really tell, hence my query.

Not all people of your height have the same leg length.
Still the best bet is to mock up the backrest and seat with ply, wood, foam, cushions etc so that you have a comfortable driving position then go from there.
