Hydraulic clutch

Post by steveO » Thu Jul 02, 2020 8:43 pm

Has anybody converted from cable to hydraulic? I see slave cylinders for Moto Guzzis are available from various vendors (MG Cycle in the US for example, but they probably get from Stien Dinze {spelling}). Thinking a 5/8" bore master should work ok and these are available to match original type one brake masters. Probably more economical to carry a spare cable, but why not fiddle if you can!
Biggest existing issue is shoe hitting the cable when pressing pedal. LH drive.

You need to make up and fit a stop so that the foot pedal doesn’t go that far forward that your foot contacts the cable, there’s plenty of throw on the cable to work the clutch without this extra movement of the pedal.
