New build

I wish to introduce myself as a new owner of a Triking Sportscars. I am presently loosely putting together all the parts on the chassis. I am using the moto guzzi 17 inch rear wheel with a tubeless rim and would like your suggestions as to the choice of tyres.
I have also fitted the fuel pump at the back of the tunnel but I am still undecided where to fit the donor bike filter feeding the injectors. I was considering to install it against the front bulkhead on the left hand side. That way the fuel pipe will be directed to the filter and on to the injectors. My Triking is going to be RHD.
May I thank you in advance for your suggestions

Congratulations. Good choice of vehicle to build. 8-)

About the rear tyre, when you are logged in, put 'rear tyre' into the search box top right of the screen. There's lots come up.

Make sure that the pump and filter are accessible for maintenance, I made that mistake.
Good luck with the build.
Tony

Hi and welcome Dreamer,
You might like to look at the Build Progress posts from Tamos you will he Tony's journey through the same waters. Very useful. Link below or look under Home Board index, Technical, Type 1, 2 and 3
I cannot comment on the wheel / tyre combo as I ditched the bike wheel after wearing out a £130 bike tyre after 2400 miles for a car wheel conversion. I am now quids in having done over 12k miles on one £70 car tyre.

Hi, I put my fuel filter onto the back of the cross member that supports the steering rack and also made a removable metal cover to protect it. It's fairly accessible that way and feeds nicely into the fuel regulator which I mounted onto the nearside bulkhead. I can prob put a pic up if it helps as I'm at that stage with my Type3 build...

Hi again, I am also finding a bit of a problem to find a fuel sender unit with 6holes flange. Would the gauges be compatable with any unit. I have looked at sender units with a sliding float but with 5holes flange. Can you please point me in this direction.

Hi, Dreamer - I had the same situation - I ended up buying a sender with 5 holes , and drilled 6 holes in the sender flange to match the holes in the tank, then I fabricated a neoprene gasket to block off the unused holes in the sender .
It's worked OK so far......

I have the standard lever/float fuel sender supplied by Al.
Works well, when the gauge says empty there is still 1/4 of a tank of petrol left. Perfect reserve.
A dip tube sender can be fitted but needs an adaptor plate.
For the budding machinists, here's a sketch.
