Gearbox/Clutch rattle

Started the Triking this morning and noticed a rattle when ticking over in neutral, it seem to be coming from the clutch housing; however, there’s a possibility it could be coming from the gearbox. I had a similar noise a little while ago which turned out to be one of the clutch plates put in the wrong way around.
After checking everything externally I bit the bullet and took the engine and gearbox out, removed gearbox from engine and stripped out the clutch, apart from a little dust it all seemed ok, the new plates I fitted a couple of months ago were in good condition, springs were as new, the possible item to cause a rattle was the centre thrust block, I put a smear of grease to try and eliminate any rattle and reassembled.
Checked gearbox for anything that may be loose and spun it over to see a rattle appeared but nothing, it was as smooth as a Guzzi gearbox can be.
Reassembled and refitted back into the chassis. Started engine and the noise was still there, blasted it down the road and back and the noise was gone and I’ve no idea why. A couple of weeks ago I added some Molyslip to the gearbox, now whether I added too much to the box I don’t really know so I drained the box and replaced with new gear oil and hope all is well.
If anyone has had a similar transmission noise and got to the bottom of it please let me know
