After some more advice please.......
Had a spoke break on my last outing and as I need wheel and tyre off to fix the spoke, I thought I would treat myself to new tyres.
On the front I have shortlisted Avon Safety Milage Mk2's or Metzler Block Ks - comments please.
The back is proving very difficult. Neither of the above do a 140/80/17 to fit the original Guzzi rear wheel I still have on the Triking and I can't seem to find anything apart from standard bike round profile tyres! I want a square profile tyre to put more rubber on the road like a sidecar tyre but no joy in this size. I even toyed with trying a car tyre but again can't find one in this size and not sure it will go on the bike rim anyway?
HELP PLEASE!!

Re: Tyres
Good morning Andy, I found the investment made in a Triking rear wheel paid for itself in 12,000 miles. Bike tyres were in the hundreds and a car tyre 70 pounds.
On the front I use Mitas.

Re: Tyres
I agree guys that going for a car rear wheel would be sensible but unfortunately the cost is prohibitive.
I have a spoked Guzzi wheel which can't be exchanged and my swing arm has insufficient clearance (maybe because a Jackal was the donor bike?) and the cost of all this is huge! Also I am totally happy with the handling so far and am not planning on many long trips ( I can't afford the resultant divorce!!).
I'll look up the recommendations for fronts, thanks.
Anyone else kept the old rear wheel and have any ideas on tyres, please chip in.
Cheers

Re: Tyres
Assuming you can get a car tyre that would fit your swing arm, would it be possible to get the hub from your existing wheel rebuilt with a car rim? I've no idea if it's economically viable, but perhaps the two companies might be a reasonable place to start?

Re: Tyres
This article has a good discussion on tyre choice related to sidecar outfits which is mostly applicable to our Trikings.

For my Triking, I went with Michelin Road Classics on the front as they have a flatter profile, more suited to classic bikes which generally don’t get cornered until the foot pegs scrape. At the lower tyre pressures we use on the Triking there is a decent contact patch so they would be worth a look. On this Triking I have the rear car tyre conversion so I can’t comment about the Michelins on that.
