Indicator positions
Indicator positions
Evening all
As the evenings draw in I’ve started designing the wiring loom whilst I (impatiently!) wait for my kit to arrive.
I’ve seen a few Trikings and other reverse trikes with Lucas-style torpedo lights (eg Lucas 1130) on the front wheel arches. Is that acceptable for the MVSA? I see most are attached to the side of the headlight, which is obviously one less wiring challenge, but I’d be interested to know if it’s an option?

Re: Indicator positions
Both positions are ok for msva.
I've put indicators on the mudguards, hid the wires in a stainless tube tacked to the under edge of the mudguard bracket then up the underside of the guard. 2 wires needed.
If you haven't already got a copy, worth downloading the msva manual. So many things to check on. https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... ion-manual

Re: Indicator positions
Brilliant, thanks Tony - routing the wires was my next question!
I did rummage through the MVSA but could only find references to heights / distances, so that helps a lot. Thanks!

Re: Indicator positions
The magic tube.
Cable then glued with black stuff to mudguard and up to light.

Re: Indicator positions
That’s an elegant solution, thank you!

Re: Indicator positions
This was my solution using the same lamps as the Type 1's and giving a good clear signal.

Re: Indicator positions
Thank you.
I shortened the Headlamp mounting post too so no threads showing below nut.
