Can anybody give me some insight on how to mount inertia
Seat belts in a type 4
Seat belts
Re: Seat belts
I assume it's very similar to the type 2/3 cars? If so, this is a forum post that is the same way I've done it: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=254&p=1687#p1687

Sure! To mount inertia seat belts in a Type 4:
Use factory mounting points if available—check the B-pillar and floor area.
Reinforce the mounting areas if needed, especially if you're drilling new holes.
The retractor unit should be mounted vertically for proper belt function.
Make sure the belt path is clear and the locking mechanism works when tugged sharply.
Use grade 8.8 or higher bolts and proper backing plates for safety.
If in doubt, consult a specialist or refer to classic VW forums for model-specific advice.
