Is there anybody using these to hold the cables in place on their build? Are they any good? Do they last? Some do state heavy duty adhesive.
Any suggestions as to which are the best? The least amount of drilling is obviously the best solution. Im after a "sticks like shit to an army blanket" type base that will never come off! Thanks.

Not had a problem with those bought from Car builder solutions. But to be sure, buy the item you require from preferred source, remove the sticker from the plastic base on one to see how 'SLSTAAB' it is to test its strength. If any good use the rest as is. Or remove paper backing and use a dab of the Pu used to hold the mudguards and body panels on.
The critical point on any sticking job will be cleanliness. Clean each patch of bodywork with acetone first prior to sticking unit in place.
Good sticking.

Thanks for the quick response.
I have just put the deposit down on a Type 4 and am busy doing some maintenance/servicing on my Guzzi 1200 Sport 2V engine, brakes, rear end, etc.
Just checking out a few things as I go along so that I should have a lot of the small bits in place before the build begins

Having been once issued with an army blanket with shit stuck to it (which was only apparent when I tried to unfold it) I can assure you that won't ever find anything which sticks as well as that.

Reused cable tie mount/clip after five years. Held in place with Pu adhesive.
