A Triking, a drone and some wind turbines

Post by EricStarmer » Mon Sep 23, 2019 6:42 pm

Took the Triking and my drone out to a wind farm - one of many in the area. Took some video with the drone (Mavic Air) in the "active following" mode for the first time. Stopped halfway to change the drone's altitude so that I could get some of the wind turbines in the field of view. The drone worked well, but I should have driven further, so that I could have deleted the section in the middle of the video and still used the entire music track - "The Stalking Song" :D
Next time....

Good stuff Eric, good choice of 'tune' too.

Great start, look forward to the next 'follow' on twisty roads, that's if you have any over there.
Keep it up Eric.

Thanks, Tony - there are twisty roads around here, but the problem is finding ones that have essentially no traffic, but aren't too rutted for the Triking, plus the twisty ones are usually heavily forested or in canyons, making drone flying difficult - get the drone too high, and the subject gets too small. Also, as I told Frederick, I don't want to get a DWD (Driving While Droning) ticket :)

Thanks, Colin and Alan - glad you like them - I thought most people would find them boring, but I guess I was wrong. Next video may be a while, as the weather is taking a turn for the worse - besides, I'm not sure where to go to find something interesting.....
