“The Wheel” Name unchanged since 1790. Now updated, but a very strong link to road travel in the late 18th century.

Excellent last entry for what has been the most popular month for entries since the challenge began. Thank you all for your efforts.
Watch out for the results and the new challenge later today.
Well done everyone.

Well, well what a result. It is the most contributions this year and Doverhay Richard wins by more than a country mile but there were some excellent contributions along the way. I wasn't sure this would work especially when Eric [S] wanted to use me as the excuse for drinking beer. However he went on to do some sterling work in digging up the history of a pub scored by Tony of this parish. Well done Eric.
Another overseas contributor in the person of JFerg John, who did well to find a pub photo opportunity in OZ but I benefited as he has written a piece for next issue of Trifles.
Results are:
Eric Starmer Contribution to facts certificate.
JFerg John Perseverance award in the face of vast land tracts [and a Trifles contribution].
Tony of the Pony scored four and a great Triking picture of the Green Baron and his faithful companion in a Doublet.
Paul & Chris scored five and good photos too.
The winner with the most entries for June 2019 is Doverhay Richard & Myra with and astonishing twenty seven pub signs bagged. You can take them all back now Richard.
Well done everyone who took part in whatever form, thank you.
Richard
