Tall Triking Drivers

A friend wants to buy my Type 2 Triking but since he lives in Germany he can't easily get over to see if he fits so I was wondering how the tall Triking drivers amongst you get on? I can move the pedal box forward a bit and the seat back a bit and make it more upright but wondered what else might be done?
I'd also be interested to know how tall you are so I can give him some idea of likely fit.

Thanks Dave

Hi, Dave - I'm not particularly tall at 5'11" (1.8 metres) and have a Type 2. I fit fine, but ideally the top back of the seat would be a couple of inches further back, especially on long trips, as my seating position is more upright than I prefer (my mother always said I slouched). Tall people tend to have larger feet - that may be more of a problem.

Hi David,
I am 6'2" and sit in a T2. Paul Williams is tall too and lives in Germany, he told me how to cut a segment out of the seat base which works well.

My son is 6ft3 with size 12 feet and is easily able to drive my type 1 with no issues (unfortunately; I can see MY Triking slyly becoming OUR Triking before long).

Interestingly he does have trouble in the passenger seat, needing goggles to stop his eyes from drying out.

Oh, hang on, no trouble driving but can't passenger... I'm the one being taken for a ride here, aren't I!

If left hand drive you get slightly more pedal room. Dropping the back of the seat base a couple of inches say 50mm through the floor is supposed to work well. Being 5'6" don't have a problem myself.

Alan has lowered my floor by 20mm at the rear edge and I have ordered a thirty mm taller screen. I'll let you know how I get on.
