I went to visit a friend in Germany last year who lives near Eitorf, which is on the Sieg river, about 25km from Cologne. A few miles down the twisty road that follows the river is the pretty old town of Burg Blankenberg, with many old buildings including a ruined castle as well as some good outdoor eating and drinking...

It seemed a great place to take lots of pictures of my Triking, hence this particular shot for July. Although Blankenburg is very scenic I though it could do with some improvement so the calendar shot has been photo shopped, not the Triking itself I hasten to add, there's no fat that needs removing on a Triking!

There were too many weeds on one section of the wall so they went, as did the signs off the lampost. The final piece was to remove a car that was visible under the arch to give the impression of calm tranquility. I hope you like it!

I had no idea it had had that much done to it.
