That could be interpreted as still attached by a safety wire, pulling the brakes on perhaps.
A detached 2 wheel trailer on it's own is very much a loose cannon.
Carol sitting in the Triking in case of detachment would not work out-----
So, safety wire going from tow car tow bar to Triking chassis. Sorted.

Yes - you're probably right - sounds like a good solution.
In the western part of the USA, if you want to go any distance, you pretty much have to take the freeway - not too many "backroads", so since I don't like driving the Triking on the freeway, but would like to take the Triking around a bunch of State and National Parks in Utah, Nevada, Arizona and California, I'm thinking of how to do that. It's about time to replace my 1998 Chevy Astro van (I need a van to haul building materials etc., as I'm always building stuff), so I'm thinking that maybe a longer, wider van is the answer, so I can get the Triking inside. Would have to drive it or winch it in backwards because of the wheel wells. Don't know what sort of vans you have in the UK these days, but over here there are several "full size" vans that can hold a Triking -they tend to be quite pricey though, so a (much) used one is definitely the way I'll go, if I end up doing this. A Mercedes "Sprinter" van would be perfect, but they're way out of my price range, so may settle on an extended Ford Transit or a Dodge Promaster.

The company that manufactures a legal A-frame http://www.towingaframes.co.uk/specialisest-vehicles
Will not supply just the Aframe, it has to be the full fitted job to comply with safety regulations. Around £600. Subject to seeing the vehicle.
The transporter van idea is very sensible for long boring routes between pleasant areas.
Some of our brethren may recall a 2CV Special owner with his terrier Jock (or was that him) who attended Drierad Treffen, Inverary 2015 and the May On The Moors run 2017. Backed his into the van, think he had a winch. He’s a camper.
