Re: Build tread (kind of)

but when exiting the wooden build shed you have to remember to allow for the 35mm doorstep running across the exit Thanks for the tip! Plan to make the lower 5 cm of thick rubber to prevent misshaps. Found a nice handbrake (cheap and sturdy) that just needed some cleaning. Happy for our outdoors le...

Re: Hopefully others (and myself) can learn (again) from my Stupidity

Easily done. :)
Twenty years ago i strap tied the electric cables to the steering column in a Caterham. The customer came back quite soon after he left my fathers chop and complained that it behaved strangely. Hopefully forgotten by now.

20200704_151154_2.jpg Finally all four wheels have arrived and i'am just waiting for the parts in between. :D Recommended Metzeler in the front and Continental for the rear. The fourth wheel was sold as "brushed aluminium" but i would more call it whipped. Hopefully it can be polished to a nicer fi...

Re: Build tread (kind of)

Yes, the wider rear wheel seems like i good idea.
I ordered a http://shop.trikingsportscars.co.uk/pro ... l-modular/ since most people recommend them. (Its not like i'am increadibly wealty and can by whatever i fancy but prefer to save up, by one thing and get it right from the start)

Re: Build tread (kind of)

Found Metzeler at a resonable price and ordered two with tubes.

For the rear wheel would you recommend a "Continental ContiEcoContact 3 155/60 R15 74T" on a modular wheel?

The steering wheel is said to be on its way but i am mentally preparing to simply build it myself. :D

Re: Build tread (kind of)

Thank you all! I will see what i can get my hands om here in Sweden. The classic block tyre looks good.
Good tyres are expensive but worth it if they last long and keep you alive in an emergency.
