Re: Silent HektiK Modification

Darren1969, Other thoughts for consideration. You did not say if you have carbs or injection, but on the assumption that you've carbs then you need to keep an eye out for over fueling. Using a fuel pump to bring forward fuel is fine but I found that the pump although a LOW rated unit still pumped ag...

Re: Silent HektiK Modification

Darren, I have a MG 1064cc engine ex California bike in my trike, I followed the Silent Hektik instructions and it works fine. Plenty of grunt and no back firing on overrun. I timed it to No1 cylinder ie the one on the offside of the trike or the right hand one while sitting on the bike. The 5 leg s...

Re: Alternator/Stator

hi, My knowledge is also limited but there are three parts that make up the alternator system 1, the rotor that is attached to the crankshaft, this rotates at engine speed. 2, the stator which is attached to the crankcase, it is static and produces alternating current, we want dc current. 3, the rec...

Re: Tyres

Hi, I do not run a Triking but a three wheel front wheel drive home build, and in the first instance used Michelin motorcycle tyres. These lasted for a year as the wear was around the tyre centre, a trike does not lean over as a bike does. I tried another set and they lasted the same around 300miles...

Re: Triking CG/balance point for custom trailer

Frederick, I went the route of "sook and see", I built my trailer with a long drawbar. This allowed me to load my reverse trike and my trike( a Bond Bug) and decide what was the sweetest point for the Tow Ball coupling. Having set that point I have trailed the two units all across Europe and the UK ...

Re: Any Triking in Sweden?

Berglind, Don't know about Triking population in Sweden but there is a Pembleton in Gotland. According to Google Maps some 5.5hrs from you at 280km. If you go to "pembletons are go" on their forum ,you'll need to join, there is an ability to ask questions and contact members. Pembleton are a home bu...

Re: 2020 Annual Meetup

Sig 4643,
When driving with the Treffen group at their rally's we use the "drop of Marker" at all changes of direction.
It works well and also prevents significant gaps developing that cause rear markers having to drive fast to catch up.
I may be teaching you how to sook eggs
