Re: side bolster
Could you fix it to a backing board with an extended portion that slides down the side of the seat?

Re: CORNER WEIGHTS
OK, that makes sense! If your scales do not have capacity, you could use a stout beam to split the load between the scales and a jack or other support. Halfway should be fine, most scales will take 100kg, and the corner weight will definitely not be over 200.

Re: CORNER WEIGHTS
Hmmm, even if you know the corner weights I'm not sure how it's going to help you? Unlike a four wheel car, you can't change the corner weights on a three-wheeler by adjusting the suspension. The only adjustment possible is to ride height at each corner, and the corner weights will stay the same. Be...

Class 3 MOT near Cambridge
So, I'm struggling to find anywhere local to MOT my Triking. Our village garage in Great Shelford used to do Class 3 MOTs, but gave up because they were "too difficult". There doesn't seem to be anywhere else nearby. Does anyone have any suggestions not too far away?
Thanks!
Mike

Re: MYSTERY OBJECT
It's a retention clip, usually used to hold something that passes through a panel. It slides into two slots milled into the penetrating part of the component to be retained. What that component is I have no idea! Could also be used to hold something in position on a shaft against a shoulder.

Re: Self-Cancelling Indicators
Interesting! I started with button head screws, which I gradually filed down to avoid fouling the switch body, until they were too small to work! That's when I had the Eureka moment and realised it would be better to go inwards than outwards!

Self-Cancelling Indicators
I was disappointed to find that my new(to me) Triking was not equipped with self-cancelling indicators. The top collar on the column is too large a diameter to allow the normal friction fit cancelling cam to fit. However, by machining a couple of grooves in the collar, this can fulfil the function o...

Hi Richard. Would I have received this as a new member?
I've checked my inbox and spam folder but there doesn't seem to be anything there.
Cheers!
