Re: Build tread (kind of)

Hi Berglind, The work / life / Triking balance is always difficult - we just need 30 hour days. With a 2004 bike it is difficult to know weather it had a lambda probe or not - they were introduced around that time, but different countries got them at different times. If you look at the label on the ...

Re: Build tread (kind of)

Hi Berglind, I can help a bit with the fuel injection if you need. There is a modified ECU map which suits the Trikng engine installation and, if needed, can remove the need for a lambda sensor (if your country's approval system allows this). The usual air cleaner approach is to use two K&N filters ...

Re: Swingarm removal

The bottom gearbox bolt is notorious for corroding. You may need to grind an end off or part it in the middle if you can get to that bit. Then replace with new bolt. It does go all the way through with a nut on either end. The pivot bolt is screwed into the CARC casting on the right hand side so be ...

Re: Will I fit in a T3?

Hello Brian,
My type 4 is almost finished and is "on the road" if you want a look and see if you fit. I'm a bit nearer to Donny (about 50 miles) at Matlock. Drop me an email if you want - john at jtdesign dot net.

Re: Triking Propshaft

No issues with this alignment on the type4, there is no extra bearing and the propshaft goes directly from the gearbox to the reversing box. The front u/j has a clamp that tightens onto the gearbox splines.

Re: Fuel pressure regulator

Hi Tony, something like this from ebay should be OK :- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Blue-Fuel-Pressure-Regulator-kit-Universal-use-on-Petrol-Turbo-or-injection-car/163383621338?hash=item260a6c36da:g:d9sAAOSwyElcb75M But it is also possible that I may have something suitable in the junk box that you ar...

Re: Fuel pressure regulator

Hi Tony, it sounds as if you have got it all plumbed correctly. The two ports on the regulator for filter and engine will be connected together in the regulator. I really think you will struggle if the breather is plugged - the fuel pressure will rise and the engine will run rich. Will be OK for a t...

Re: Fuel pressure regulator

Forgot to say that if you're running a low pressure, carb system then please ignore all of the above.

Re: Fuel pressure regulator

Hi Tony. If the regulator is leaking then plugging the reference port will lead to a build-up of pressure wth the result that the fuel pressure will increase above the required 3 bar value. Looking at your photograph I can't make out the port arrangement on the regulator but if it has only two main ...
