Re: Founders Day 2023

I’m unlikely to attend this now unfortunately, if anyone would like the wristband giving free entry message me asap and I’ll post it same day. Dave I did try to sent a PM re. the wristband, but it's hanging in my outbox. If it's still available, I'd love to take it off your hands/wrists. Cheers.

Re: Digiplex V Elektronik Saches

I found that the ignition timing wandered massively using the standard Guzzi distributor setup, I assume because there's a lot of backlash built in to the system. I changed to the Silent Hektik system (which I think is pretty analagous to the Sachse) as it has a generator-mounted pickup and found it...

Tony, that's brilliant. What a fantastic job, turned out even better than expected. Running the exhausts down via Brooklands cans - genius!

Re: T1 850 glowing pipe

Has he timed the ignition on the right side, then forgotten to time the left hand side individually? Easily done!

Re: Siamesed exhaust

I don't know how Tony/WEG gets his motor running so well without a balance pipe! I've found Guzzis to be a bit harsh and stumbly in the midrange and at idle without the balance pipe and have been unable to tune this out. And equally as bad with a Jota-style large diameter balance pipe. Clearly I don...

Re: Digiplex Ignition - Running on 1 cyl

Ducati bevels are the only 90deg V-twins which run anticlockwise that I can think of.

As I say, I don't know the system at all. Is it possible to flip the trigger wheel? Doing that would result in A2 being the wrong side of A, which would skew the datum.
