Re: Front Wheel balancing.

I have read that not all tire sealers/balancers are created equal, and that Ride-On is good and you should stay away from Slime. Ride-On is also made in a number of different formulas, and one shouldn't put Ride-On made for motorcycle tires, say, into a car tire (or vice-versa).

Re: Front Wheel balancing.

What I find strange is the guy who did the test comes to the conclusion that the Ride-on didn't work even though he says he experienced no vibration. He blames it's "not working" on a slight difference in tire wear over 5500 miles - a totally irrelevant measurement which could easily be due to sligh...

Re: Front Wheel balancing.

Ordered some Ride-On tire sealant/balancer for my rear wheel, then I won't have to take the wheel off to get it balanced - we'll see how that works out,

Re: Front Wheel balancing.

After replacing the Guzzi rear wheel on my Triking with one from Alan that takes a car tire, I essentially did the same thing to balance it (I would have taken it to a tire dealer to have it balanced , but didn't due to Covid restrictions/concerns ) I mounted the new wheel, and now , at around 60 mp...

Re: single hoop rollbar

Thanks, Frederick - that's OK , I have too many other things going right now anyway - I was amazed at how tight a turn they were able to make in that tubing without it buckling or splitting on the outside !

Re: single hoop rollbar

Frederick - yours is the best-looking Triking roll bar I've seen - roughly how much did it cost to have that bend put in the (stainless?) tubing ?

Re: New Reserve Tank - Cannonball II

Seems like the extra drag will reduce your mpg by a measurable amount - I'd do some mpg tests with the tank on to see if/how much it dropped. You could mount a regular plastic 5 gallon gas can to the passenger's side, and the intrepid passenger/backup driver could pour it into the tank while you're ...

Re: New Reserve Tank - Cannonball II

Re: New member in West Yorkshire

Nothing's too trivial , John - we were all "newbies" once, me in particular, not having ever been a motorcycle rider, and I still am puzzled by a lot of Triking minutae, like "why is the ignition key under the dashboard" :)
