Many thanks for your replies. I haven’t got the steering wheel yet but when it arrives I’ll see if it turns freely and if not I’ll pack out the lower mount.

I’m just starting to build a type 3 and I’ve angled the steering column through the centre of the bulkhead aperture which has resulted in what I think rather is a steep angle for the rack UJ. Is this normal and indeed does it matter? I could make the aperture larger but am reluctant to do so if it’s...
