Re: New build

I've completed the work on the fuel section for my Triking build so here are some photos to show you how I did it for mine. I decided to install an inline fuel valve in the tunnel so I don't have to drain the fuel tanks if I need to replace the pump or when I replace the filter. This is followed by ...

Re: New build

Hi, I put my fuel filter onto the back of the cross member that supports the steering rack and also made a removable metal cover to protect it. It's fairly accessible that way and feeds nicely into the fuel regulator which I mounted onto the nearside bulkhead. I can prob put a pic up if it helps as ...

Re: Thinking about buying a 1100 cc engine.

If you have the time and the patience the cheapest route is to buy a complete California and sell off the parts you don't need on eBay as there is a strong market for good used Californina spares. By way of example, I bought a California 1100i for £1,850 that had been standing for a while and sold t...

Re: 2020 Annual Meetup

Hi Guy

Well done for taking the difficult but sensible decision, I'm sure we're all disappointed at the turn of events but knowing where we stand is a great help.

Regards Dave

Re: 2020 Annual Meetup

I'm not sure my Type 3 will be on the road in time for this meet so I'm considering buying a "stand-in" Pembleton so I have something with 3 wheels to run around in for a bit. Does anyone mind if I attend the meet in that, I'll go at the back of course and park it out of sight...

Re: Tubeless Tyre on Rim Spoked Wheel

I've decided to go with a motorbike tyre for now, not much choice in 17" tyres anyway and I have a new Michelin Pilot tyre "in stock" so to speak so I'll see how it goes...

Re: Free event at Shuttleworth Collection Biggleswade

I'm not sure my Type 3 will be ready in time, it's only just going off to the powder coaters.. I could get a ticket and chance it but don't want to let them down, I had considered a temporary Pembleton/Lomax if one came up for sale so I don't have to rush the build but they're thin on the ground at ...

Re: Tubeless Tyre on Rim Spoked Wheel

Thanks for the replies, particularly the haulnride link, just goes to show the web can provide info on just about anything. Also the headsup about the tyre, it was one of the first ones I saw but I haven't as yet, worked out what size car tyre I might go for. With a 17" rim a low profile tyre would ...

Tubeless Tyre on Rim Spoked Wheel

I'm planning to use the rim spoked rear wheel from my Guzzi donor on my Type 3 build. For those that don't know what one is; there is a flange on each rim that the spoke head goes through with the nipple at the hub instead of the spoke head at the hub and the nipple in the middle of the rim. It has ...

Re: Windscreen Wipers

I was really glad of them at last years Yorkshire meet in the torrential rain on the Saturday. They look tiny but are surprisingly effective and worked happily for hours!
