Re: Old coals.
Too late for the pictures, I'm afraid, but they would not show much. For my early car with an 850cc Le Mans III motor fitted, two 6.5mm holes, each 38.5mm forward of the rear edge of the cross member, and 220mm apart, 110 either side of the centreline, lined up perfectly with the hidden cap heads. I...

Re: Convert...
On re-reading the original post, I see that the transmission was also part of the question. That's tricky, too. Converts use a different drive shaft and uni assembly to all other big block Guzzis, with a finer spline, and they use a longer swinging arm, with a higher ratio final drive. So you could ...

Re: Convert...
I have just been down the Convert donor path. You'll need a new timing cover, and will lose your tacho. The Convert has a transmission oil pump driven off an extension to the camshaft, so does not have the worm to drive a tacho. The 'vert timing cover has a bulge and a pair of inlet/outlet spigots a...

Old coals.
I refuse to believe that this has not been thrashed half to death in previous postings, but when I search back through there's only two pages and no mention of it. So forgive me for raking some very old coals here. My car is an early type 1, 2B 81 11. I've just stuck a pair of 88mm barrels with pist...

Just dropped in for a spot of lunch. Grand Final day here in Victoria, everyone else is at home, glued to the TV.

Re: Triking Pilot's Challenge September [new season]
Best to leave things a bit later; it is Spring here, after all, ideal for flowers. IMG_3520.JPG Wattle Glen station, with some wattle in the foreground. It's a single track, platform - and thus station signs - on this side. Luckily, the fire brigade are advertising. This is a piece of wattle, The sy...
