Re: When Morgan Meets Triking

Hi, Richard - I'm not sure who's Triking this is, but do you know what those silver circles at the front of the boot are - hinge points ?

Re: The Electric Triking

I'm also interested in how the project goes, but I have to be honest, if I ever built an electric Triking (I did convert a Renault R8 to electric) , I would have to fit it with loudspeakers that went "Brrrrm-Brrrrm", or maybe put a heavy piece of plastic that made noises when it hit the spokes ( lik...

Re: exhaust/header length

A tuned exhaust only helps at certain RPM ranges - at other RPM's it is a detriment because instead of relieving the back pressure it increases it. Ideally the exhaust pipe(s) should be different lengths for different RPM's - difficult to achieve, although when I was an apprentice at DeHavilland (RI...

Re: Owners in Boston Area

Sounds like you're definitely prepared - didn't realize that you had that many miles on your Triking, as I thought you'd only recently completed it. Doing 800-1000 miles a day is definitely out of my league - guess I shouldn't judge others based on my own (in)abilities :-) Will look forward to heari...

Re: Owners in Boston Area

Maybe you should wait until next summer to do this - it's already getting frosty at night some places on your route, and even though I love my Triking, it's probably the last vehicle (apart from a motorcycle) that I'd want to be driving on a slippery road. Also, I'm not sure how much you've driven y...

Re: Just had an accident

Dave - so glad nobody was hurt - surprised you didn't get some whiplash though. Maybe the Triking is so light it just got pushed forward and there were minimal "g" forces. Here in the US we have to wear helmets (at least here in Oregon). I was very unhappy with this, but seeing these photos is makin...

Re: New Forum

Looking good, Tony !
At some point will all the past several years' worth of posts be available again - I think these are a very useful part of the Forum, especially the "Technical" section, for new owners/builders - they certainly helped me a lot.
