Re: Is it sacrilege...BMW K1200 RS 130hp?
Curious...did you consider the 1400 from a MG California? Less a bit hp than the beemer but several more ftlbs torque at HALF the rpm. Torque is the fun part anyway. Plus you’d retain the visual spirit of the original. And I’d bet anything it’d be an easier swap fabrication-wise.

Cheap cover
Dust covers for garaged trikes are hard to come by, when I first asked about one, someone suggested tossing a couple sheets over it. Re: Front tyres
Metzeler makes a sidecar tire a bit less pricey that heidenau, Nice vintage looking tread. I’ve no experience their road ability yet, my project is still on the build cradle so ymmv. https://www.bikebandit.com/tires-tubes/motorcycle-tires/metzeler-block-k-sidecar-tire/p/13820?b=174630&gclid=EAIaIQob...

Re: Build tread (kind of)
I was never sure about the reasoning of running round profile motorcycle tires since the trike doesn’t lean. So to have maximum contact patch it made sense to me to go with metzler’s (there are others more pricey) 4.00 x 18” sidecar tires: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/MTZ-0109700?seid=srese1&g...

Re: Build tread (kind of)
For footwell battery access I made a fixed “frame” and removable panel to keep the breeze out...Velcro holds it in place. Material is .25” pvc sign board.

Car cover
Anyone have a dimensioned pattern or template for a Triking car cover?
Of course an old flannel sheet will work just fine but can’t hurt to ask.
