Several of us run the overflow pipe to up by the petrol tank and end in a bottle. I have used a Redex bottle as it fits between suspension support and tank. The old hair dye bottles with flat sides were good but the manufacturer changed the design going to round ones. [No not me I don't have enough ...

I don't know if this helps but this is from their web site Ian:
Lubrication is by splash and requires 120ml of any multipurpose ATF or light engine oil; (5W-40). A level plug and magnetic drain plug are also included.
They don't mention synthetic and I don't know the equivalent I'm afraid.

Thank you all for your responses Charles is now sorted. As luck would have it Frederick F in the USA has the same mirror mounted on his T4. This therefore was the ideal illustration for Charles.
