Re: Private Messages Outbox vs Sent

Hi, Brent - I rarely check for private messages, because I rarely get any - your post prompted me to check, and, lo and behold, I have a private message from you, so apparently the one to me went through.
I'll respond to the message later today.....

Re: 2022 Annual Get-together

Thank you, Richard - I thought I had read this some time ago, but then couldn't find it again. Here's hoping that things go better in 2022 than in the last couple of years. Hope to see you (and many others) there !

2022 Annual Get-together

Is there currently a planned annual get-together in 2022? Afraid I've lost track of the situation after the 2021 get-together was cancelled. Planned on coming over the last two years, but 2020 plans were scuttled by airline problems and 2021 by Covid. If there is a 2022 get-together planned, I figur...

Re: Resonance patch

Hi, Simon - do you have a reverse gearbox ? I have a similar, but different problem in that when making right hand turns, without a passenger, I get a loud thrumming noise from the tunnel. It turns out that on my car, at least, there is only about 3 or 4mm clearance between the right hand side of th...

Re: Wind Deflectors

Pretty easy, and if you make them long enough the vinyl/leather "moulding" around the cockpit keeps them at a good angle for deflecting wind/rain.

Re: Wind Deflectors

Hi, Dave - I made some deflectors from about 3mm acrylic , and attached them to the windscreen supports. I made them for when I have my home-made hood on, which necessitated a curve at the top to make them flush with the hood itself. I made the curve by putting the cut acrylic in the oven (when the ...

Re: Front Wheel balancing.

I have read that not all tire sealers/balancers are created equal, and that Ride-On is good and you should stay away from Slime. Ride-On is also made in a number of different formulas, and one shouldn't put Ride-On made for motorcycle tires, say, into a car tire (or vice-versa).
